Tomato is a fruit and vegetable health power house due to its high nutritional value. It is rich in
calcium, folic acid, iron, potassium, vitamin A, C , E, niacin etc.It contains lycopene and zeaxanthin which are antioxidants that can help work against free radicals. Tomato also contains natural astringent properties which serve as a natural solution for some skin problems like dry skin.
A simple method of relieving dry skin is to apply a ripe sliced tomato directly to the skin. This is a very messy treatment so it is best to do it over the sink.

Cut the ripe tomato in tiny slices. Rub it on your face for about 2 minutes. Place some more slices on your face and stay in a position that will not let it drop. It is better to lie on your back.
