Maintaining your virgin human hair can be a very tricky but careful routine. This often entails
treatment with the so-called chemicals to remove dirt and odour.Is there really a chemical specifically used to wash your original and authentic human hair wig? I have asked several hair dressers and what I discovered is that there is no particular chemical used to maintain your hair but a high quality shampoo and hair conditioner.
There are some virgin human hair that come untreated and you may notice it has a foul smell. You can try to eliminate this smell with your well trusted hair shampoo and conditioner, wash it as many times as possible but once you wear the human hair wig you will notice the odour.
This odour could just be bacteria in the hair.
One of the methods to eliminate this almost permanent odour is boiling the hair.
Before you try this method be 💯 percent sure the hair is authentic human hair. If you boil one of those synthetic human hair that are advertised as authentic human hair, you will damage the hair.
So here's what you can do to help eliminate the almost permanent odour from your authentic human hair wig.
1. Place a pot on fire.
2. Add enough water that can cover the human hair wig you want to clean
3. Let the water boil.
4. Once the water starts boiling, lower the heat and pour about a quarter cup of your quality hair shampoo into the boiling water
5. Add a table spoon of apple cider vinegar
6. Use a light cotton strip to hold the wig in one place - preferably one end of it.
7. If you have an iron hanger you can twist it to form a hook. Clip the hook on the tied part of the wig.
8. Dunk the hair repeatedly in the boiling water. Stir it around as well. Then after about 1 minute, lower the heat and leave the hair in the pot and let it simmer for a few seconds then stir. You need to watch the process closely. Do not over boil it.
9. This whole boiling process should not take more than 5 minutes
10. The hook should also be used to pull the hair out of the water. Then place the hot boiled hair on a flat surface and let it cool down
11. Rinse with warm water then condition the hair. Leave the hair conditioner in the hair for about 30 minutes. For best results, wrap the hair with conditioner inside a plastic bag.
After 30 minutes unwrap the hair and rinse the hair with warm water.
Then hang to dry.
