It can be frustrating to be in a situation where there is an unexplainable smell and you do not have any odour neutralizer
close by.
You need not worry. Nature has provided us with natural ways to take care of a bad smell.
Here are 5 ways to naturally get rid of bad smells
1. Baking Soda
Baking Soda is a go-to odor neutralizer. I would say it is one of the best natural ways to get rid of odour.
It can be used on leather handbags, matrasses, carpets, clothes, wooden surfaces, refrigerator and the list goes on and on.
All you need to do is to sprinkle it on the area to be treated and wait and notice the odour gradually fade away.
2. Coffee
Using coffee grounds to eliminate odour is also considered effective. Though I have not tested this method but I have heard that coffee grounds work as well. You can sprinkle it all over the surface to be treated and it will do the job.
3. Vinegar
I recommend white vinegar because I have tried this method. Simply sprinkle white vinegar on the area you want to treat and you will notice an almost instant difference.
4. Lemon Juice
This method sounds effective. I use lemon juice to wash fish and noticed it works well in eliminating fish smell. You will notice that lemon juice also gets rid of garlic smell. I suggest you can try to use lemon juice in areas where you would normally use white wine vinegar. The only worry is that lemon juice can bleach surfaces so be very careful.
5. Spices
Try cooking with spices like cinnamom, nutmeg, cloves etc and notice the delicious smell that will surround your home. I feel that it will make sense to use this same method to eliminate odour. What you can do is to boil these spices and while it boils the smell will eliminate bad smells around you.
